Inert (Abrasives)

TECH ITAL-IBIX's Sustainable Eco Blasting Systems enable the use of TECH ITAL's own ecological abrasives or other market products.


TECH ITAL's Abrasives are sustainable, with a totally ecological appeal, being of varying granulometry according to the surface preparation requirements as well as of totally inert materials (vegetal, mineral and natural origin). Thus, there is no concern, that the vast majority of market solutions based on chemistry, with the disposal of the material resulting from cleaning.




Stone: The stone should use mainly granulometries such as 120 or 200 mesh to remove graphite or light cleaning (soft cleaning). However, it is also possible to use other grain sizes for other types of interventions, such as peeling or sanding small pieces with a 30/60 grain size or 20/40 mesh. For statues or other architectural structures in delicate stone or damaged by time, or when it is necessary to leave the shine on the surfaces unchanged (for example, lead-fused marble), we recommend that you use spherical calcium carbonate.

Marble: TECH Q and TECH G should not be used on polished surfaces due to their high degree of hardness (mohls). We recommend using TECH BS and TECH CC with water spray to avoid damage to the surface. If the surface is opaque in nature and the purpose is to remove graphite, TECH Q and TECH G with mesh 350/200/120 can be used. We strongly recommend starting the tests of pressure adjustments and inert output, with minimum values.

Glass, Synthetic Materials (fiberglass, etc.) and Polished Metals (Stainless Steel, etc.): To remove scale, graphite or dirt, sodium bicarbonate is used with water spray. If you want to make the surface and / or create decorations "positive" or "negative", TECH Q and TECH G. can be used. The mesh choice must be made according to the desired finish.

Iron and other unpolished metals: To remove rust, encrustation and paints, TECH Q and TECH G meshes 20/40, 30/60 or 80 can be used, leaving the surface clean and with a certain degree of roughness to allow easy adhesion (anchoring) of the used ink product. The choice of the various meshes must be made according to the desired finishes.

Soft Woods: For restoration or cleaning on very delicate surfaces, we recommend TECH Q and TECH G with 120 to 350 mesh. We strongly recommend starting the pressure adjustment tests and inert outlet, with minimum values.

Hardwoods: We recommend TECH Q and TECH G with 100 to 120 mesh. We strongly recommend starting the pressure adjustment and inert outlet tests, with minimum values.
